- Our trucking school has certain requirements that must be met before you can enroll in our program. To drive a commercial motor vehicle within state lines, you must be at least 18 years old. However, if you plan on driving across state lines, carrying hazardous materials, or transporting passengers, you must be at least 21 years old. Additionally, you must only have one valid driver’s license, and your driving privileges must not be suspended, revoked, cancelled, or disqualified.
- When you apply to our school, you’ll need to provide us with proof of a valid driver’s license and a recent Motor Vehicle Record. You must also meet the medical requirements of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, or demonstrate that you are not subject to them.
- To obtain an Instruction Permit at the Secretary of State Office, you must be able to pass written tests in English. If you plan to receive an Illinois driver’s license or ID card, you’ll need to provide at least three acceptable forms of identification, including your name, date of birth, Illinois residency, social security number, and signature for comparison. Additionally, you’ll need to show proof of your legal presence in the United States.

A down payment is required with installment payments during the length of the training program. The full balance must be paid prior to graduation. No finance charges apply with this plan.
